Coffee Frappe - Frozen Ice Cubes, AGAIN!

It's a hot one here in New Hampshire today.  Remember those frozen ice cubes I used to keep my iced coffee from getting too weak?  Well, let's take them out again and go a little crazy.  Think dessert.  Think Dunkin Donuts un-named icy drink.  Think tasty and you've got today's recipe for a coffee frappe.

**Let me start by saying, I don't have a blender - a problem I soon hope to remedy.  It would have made this process MUCH easier, so I will recommend it to you.

Coffee Frappe

  • dozen or so coffee ice cubes (see post HERE)
  • 1/2 cup milk (which ever type you prefer)
  • 1 tsp sugar or a sugar substitute
  • chocolate sauce
1.  Put the coffee ice cubes, milk and sugar in the blender and  blend till it's smooth enough for you.
2.  Pour in a glass and drizzle chocolate sauce on top.

Notes:
If you, like me, only have a food processor, hugs.  I had to pulse, poke the ice cubes around, pulse, poke...etc. etc.  You get the picture.  I need a blender... (anyone listening?)

If you go with skim milk and sugar substitute, this is a super low cal, frosty, tasty dessert!  Have at it!
Enjoy!
Carrie

  1. Sounds fantastic for a hot day like today (I love iced coffee). I would make the low-cal version and the fat-free nature should not matter.

  2. I am still trying to comprehend YOU not having a blender! "A" for ambition in using the food processor!
