We found a quick and easy version that tastes great over at The Lady Behind the Curtain.
Caramel Sauce
Ingredients:
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup half and half
4 tablespoons butter
1/4 tsp salt
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Directions:
- Add the brown sugar, half and half, butter and salt to a saucepan and cook over medium-low heat. Whisk for approximately 6 minutes, until it gets thicker.
- Add the vanilla and cook another minute. Turn off the heat, cool and pour into a jar or other container. Refrigerate.
