This is my first guest post for my blog, Seduction in The Kitchen. Let me tell a little bit about my blog, I believe that everyone has a love affair with food. How many times have we cheated with it? How about indulging with it? How about when it betrays you and adds on a few extra pounds? It gives comfort when needed, and at times even give your mouth pure joy. See what I mean Food is a relationship, we go through the same thing with spouses, boyfriends, family. Food can seduce you, and That was why I called my blog, Seduction in The Kitchen.

I am very honored to do this recipe for What's to Eat? I was given a choice of what to do, I know What's to Eat? is mostly about family. What could be better than brownies for a family treat, how about peanut butter topped brownies. That sounds even better. So let's get started with this sinful recipe, shall we?

Ingredients:
2 ounces unsweetened dark chocolate
1/2 cup unsalted butter
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/2 ounce semisweet chocolate (1/2 square)

Topping
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
2 -3 tablespoons heavy whipping cream

Glaze
1 ounce semisweet baking chocolate
1 tablespoon butter

Directions:
First, you want to melt the butter and chocolate in a bowl in the microwave. Melt it at 30 second intervals, stirring each time until it is melted. When I made these, of course I picked the hottest day the year to bake, and the butter and chocolate melted quickly because the humidity. Once melted, set it aside.

Next, you want to add the sugar and eggs to your mixing bowl. Mix them together until you get this pale yellow mixture.

Once the eggs and sugar are the pale yellow, time to add your vanilla to the mix. Blend it in well.

Time to add the melted chocolate. I notice due to the heat, the chocolate and butter was separating, that is ok, because in the end it all mixed together. So just add it all too the egg/sugar mixture and mix it all up.

After you got the chocolate blended in, time for the flour and salt. Just mix it until it is blended. Then pre heat your oven to 350, after you have the batter mixed.

Grease your Brownie pan, and pour the batter into the pan.

Your oven should be nice and warmed up. Then place the pan in the oven and bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes. I usually check after 20 minutes with a took pick, if still has batter cook it another 2-3 minutes. Check again and usually the tooth pick will come out clean. That is when it is done. Let the brownies cool.

Once your Brownies are cool, it time to make the peanut butter topping. In a bowl, add the butter and peanut butter. I know it is hard to measure peanut butter, truthfully, I eyeball it. No such thing as too much peanut butter in my book! I give you a little hint, the longer you whip the butter and peanut butter the fluffier your topping will be, So I whip it with the mixer for about 5 minutes.

Next, you going to add the powdered sugar. As you mix it in, you will notice it will become crumbly. Do not panic, that what is supposed to happen.

After you got the powdered sugar incorporated into the peanut butter, time to slowly add the cream to the mixture. This is what make it smooth and creamy.

Add a little and mix. Then add more cream and mix until you get the topping to the creaminess you want.

Spread the peanut butter topping evenly onto the cooled brownies.

Melt the chocolate square and butter for the glaze and decorate the top of the peanut butter topping

Then finally cut it up and enjoy this sinfully delicious brownie.
